Service Description
Winter Survival Course | Edmundston, NB New Brunswick winters are no joke. This winter survival course takes the skills from our Basic Survival course and builds them into cold-weather survival: finding food and water in snow country, gathering materials, building shelter and keeping warm so you can live safely in a cold environment. We also cover cold-weather injuries such as frostbite and hypothermia, and how to treat them. WHO TEACHES IT: SATS founder Steve Matte, a 20-year Canadian Armed Forces veteran, former JTF2 special operations member and former lead winter survival instructor for 2 Combat Engineer Regiment. RECOMMENDED: Complete the Basic Survival course first. GEAR: Some equipment is available to rent. A full kit list is sent when you register.
